A-Key® 3500 tokens contain a chip that stores a user-defined
password (for Challenge/Response Authentication), as well as authentication
information and information that differentiates one A-Key® token
from every other A-Key token. The chip also contains the capability
to generate unique six digit numbers, which enables the ASAS® Server
to verify a user’s identity safely and securely, via One-time Password
authentication.
Software can also be pre-installed onto the A-Key® 3500 token.
ACert™ Software enables A-Key® token users to securely store and
use digital certificates on the token. My A-Key™ software enables
A-Key® token users to securely store Web logon credentials and automatically
log in to Web sites without having to touch a computer keyboard.
The A-Key® 3500 token will work with any A-type USB 1.1 or USB
2.0 port, USB hub, or USB extension cable connected directly to
a computer. However, it will not work with a USB-to-PS/2 conversion
adapter.
