A-Key® 3200 tokens are very sturdy and cannot be compromised.
The internal components will be destroyed if someone attempts to
open them. Also, A-Key® tokens stand up to serious punishment, such
as being put through the washing machine.
A-Key® 3200 tokens contain a chip that stores a password (for
Challenge/Response Authentication) that the user defines. This chip
also stores authentication information and information that differentiates
one A-Key token from every other A-Key token. This information enables
the ASAS Server to verify a user’s identity safely and securely.
Software can also be pre-installed onto the A-Key® 3200 token.
ACert Software enables A-Key® token users to securely store and
use digital certificates on the token. My A-Key software enables
A-Key token users to securely store Web logon credentials and automatically
log in to Web sites without having to touch a computer keyboard.
The A-Key® 3200 token will work with any A-type USB 1.1 or USB
2.0 port, USB hub, or USB extension cable connected directly to
a computer. However, it will not work with a USB-to-PS/2 conversion
adapter.
